Gunn Report.

Unfortunately, for various reasons no other club was able to field a team for this year's Gunn Trophy event.

l

Six of our best sailors were rigged, dressed in their sailing gear and ready to race when we realised that there was no competition! Undaunted we had a great day of sailing in Toppers. First our six juniors raced whith great determination and competitiveness, then we went ashore for an excellent barbeque.

Then the parents/ adults showed just how competative they can be -- with much shouting, contested mark roundings and (some of us) even doing penalty turns -- when it was alleged that  they had scuffed a mark!

Next  the juniors raced the adults and the adults raced the juniors, and meantime the sound system on Mhojo was blaring out encouraging music. It was Mediteranean on the water and it was as good as any Sunsail Holiday (except we were stifling in drysuits!).

Overall the official winner was, of course, Cameron! However, we felt we were all winners as we had such a great time and some of the juniors and the adults had the best racing they had ever had in dinghies....!
