On Saturday 17th May from 2.00 to 5.00 Lochcarron Sailing Club will be holding a “Try Sailing” session for children currently in Primary 5 or above.
The aim of the day is to provide an informal on-the-water introduction to sailing, lasting about an hour, with the hope of inspiring the children to undertake further formal training and participation in the sport.

Lochcarron Sailing Club is recognised as a training centre by the RYA and provides formal certificated training during our training week at the beginning of the summer holidays. We are an active club, racing and sailing at least twice most weeks in the season, and have a large junior membership. We have a shore-side clubhouse with changing, showering and catering facilities.

Children should wear warm waterproof clothing and be prepared to get wet to knee level. If they have wetsuits and buoyancy aids they should bring them but the club will provide buoyancy aids for those who do not have their own. They should also bring a towel and change of clothing.

There will be a nominal charge of £3 to cover costs.

Each child must bring a completed parental consent form, available on our website.

To book a place please email lochcarronsc@aol.com

Parents are welcome to stay and watch and enjoy a cuppa on our sundeck.
